I (22f) am dating my bf (25m) who has two kids with another woman. They were never married, kids both 5 and 3 years old. I’ve been dating him for awhile, and known him for longer but know his kids less, but I see them as much as he has since I’ve been introduced. I’ve been allowed at drop offs, although recently she decided I was only allowed to stay in the car. Which is fine, I just stopped going. Her bf has always been there, went as far to pick up the kids as well. This weekend was a long weekend thanks to memorial weekend. One of his kids has the day off school, and court allows him to have half days on holidays. We went fishing with them, at the request of his son the day before. We let their mom know we were fishing. She decided to go to the store knowing the time was set for 4:30 and he might have to work soon. Because of the time crunch, we had to leave soon and I didn’t have time to change my clothes. It’s sunny, there’s little shade near this pond and I didn’t expect to have to meet in a store (her request). I was wearing a crop top and basketball shorts, everything was covered except stomach and back (midriff, as any crop top shows) and I walked into a Walmart with them to drop off the kids (I was also gonna get cat food + other things since we were there). Their mother said “seriously?” To my boyfriend, and he replied with “what?” She had a problem with my clothes. I had no idea, I try not to listen if they talk as it is not my business. But my bf turned to me and asked if I thought I was dressed inappropriately. I was confused, and said “I’m in a store?” Because I figured I was dressed appropriately for said occasion. She (my boyfriends baby mama) looked at me and said “you’re dressed like a skank.” in front of her two children, within earshot. They were right there. I didn’t say much, didn’t argue. It is what it is. Even her bf told her to pick her battles and said that maybe they should leave. I’m upset, if I was dressed like some kind of harlot I’d understand but it was such a normal outfit with most covered. Even after she texted saying I “had my ass out” but not even a sliver of cheek could be seen lol, and it was baggy too. I have pictures of said outfit if needed, as well as texts from family members saying how ridiculous that was and how they’ve seen HER in way worst before. Like what’s the deal???
