So, I'm 20 M, I'm a college student, I've been a Scout for 10 years, and I live with my mom, my brothers and my dad. Today I had to do a lot of homework, and my mom offered to help me do the dishes (me and my brother take daily turns to wash them). While I was on that, my Scout group organized a Meet call to discuss topics regarding some issues our local Scout comitee has been having with the organization of this Province's activities. I was still doing my homework, just stopping ocasionally to speak. My brother was on that call too. Then comes my mom, furious at me because she said I have her washing the dishes while I was socializing. I argued I was still doing my homework, just listening and ocassionally participating. She says I'm "selfish and a bad person, that I'm abusing my own mother while I'm on a voice call" (direct quote). I see no issue on it, since I'm still doing my homework either way. AITA? Edit: This wasn't completely out of the kindness of her heart. I agreed on making breakfast for everyone tomorrow in exchange, so she wouldn't have to (I leave earlier than the rest).
