AITA Brother told my parents his girlfriend is pregnant Hi, me, my mum and her partner met my brother’s girlfriend of several months for the first time tonight. Sat and chatted for a few hours before my mum, brother and his girlfriend joined her partner in the kitchen in the room next door. I was left sitting on the sofa in a new build with paper thin walls. I heard my brother and his girlfriend tell my mum and her partner that his girlfriend was pregnant. I gave everyone a few minutes and decided to go in next door to wish them both congratulations as I felt I shouldn’t have to hide that I know that his girlfriend is pregnant- I felt totally excluded and have always had a bit of a strenuous relationship with my younger brother. I also am single and have not had any children of my own yet. I was very pleased for the 2 and gave his girlfriend a hug and congratulations while my brother refused- after the two left I started to cry and got upset that my brother was excluding me from such an important moment. I am upset that they didn’t tell my mum and her partner while I wasn’t there if they wanted to keep their pregnancy private- I have my own home and happened to be visiting at the time. My mum is now upset at me for ruining the night that she found out that her first grandchild is on the way by becoming upset at my exclusion. I feel guilty for ruining her experience. AITA?
