Hi there, I am writing from the floor of my bathroom because the outcome of the situation does not allow for anything else at the moment. I (m27) have been dating a woman (f31) for a few months now. It's actually going pretty well and we get along great. We come from quite different social backgrounds, but we both find it rather enriching. Firstly, I have a medical problem that affects my stomach lining and it's very easily irritated and causes constant heartburn. I do take tablets for it, but unfortunately they are not a free pass for spicy food. So a few jalapenos are not a big problem, but anything more than that causes problems for days. She loves spicy food, which is of course not a problem, but today she took me to visit her family. She said she had already warned them and as they all really like spicy food, I was given a different snack. Incredibly nice and considerate! When we came to eat, I of course also took a chip and the dip provided for me and immediately realised that there must have been a mix-up. My gastrointestinal tract was on fire and I started to hiccup and break out in a sweat. I asked her mum if this was really the dip she had in mind for me and she laughed at me and asked if it was mild enough. Of course, I thought it was just a different perception of spice. Unfortunately, my stomach didn't play along and I had to go to the bathroom inconspicuously. When I came back half an hour later, I was greeted with another laugh and a statement about the "white boy" not being able to take a proper dip. I tried to take it in good humour but at some point I said "fuck off" quite clearly and was kicked out. My girlfriend is really angry and thinks I shouldn't be like that, I realise that it was a bit harsh but I also think I'm a bit in the right. AITA?
