I'm (19M) a fresher at my college, which basically orders us to live inside it's campus. A beautiful campus at hill, full of greenery and views. It has dense forest and many ravines. I had been returning back from the Central Library, and it was basically night at that time. All the roads are metalled but extremely deserted most of the time, because it's inside the campus. I had not a single person on the road except my three friends walking in front of me, and on top of that all the street lights were closed, so it was pitch dark. Occasionally the sky flashed (as it normally rains at night around this season) and lighted up the empty department buildings near the road. Trees rustling and howling, insects, wind and everything. I had my headphones on (listening Interlinked), and was walking and enjoying the walk in darkness. I had justed texted a friend of mine, so my attention was not completely on the front (as i was sure of no danger due to the roads being deserted. Suddenly, someone bumped into me. I only saw a fair arm and the entire thing disappeared from my sight as if it never existed. For one moment I was almost stunned due to terror. I turned around and saw it was a guy in shorts and a tee rushing on; no apology or anything for bumping into my shoulders in pitch black darkness while wearing light blue tee. Out of sheer reflex and terror I said "SisterF\*ck"(I used to cuss a lot around my friends) It took me a second to actually confirm it was a man, and infact i wished to mutter the "curse under breath" but due to my headphones messing up my calculation of loudness, I perhaps said it out a bit loud (or the place was too quiet I guess). Then that guy stopped dead in his tracks, turned around and went "What did you say?" He came near me angrily and it went like this "How dare you say these words to a faculty huh? Learn to speak decently before coming here to study". I saw he was full on sweaty and out of breath. I immediately apologised and said "Sorry sir. It was my fault. I admit it, and it won't happen again. I'm sorry" but he kept on yelling and screaming at me on top of his voice and then started demanding my name and department angrily. I felt guilty and I told him my real Name and Department, and then he hastily turned started walking away and said "I'll see you. Wait, I'll see you. Learn to respect...ladies". I was left standing baffled, partially terrified because professors don't take any disrespect lightly and duke it out on the student's cgpa together, and it had been only 5 days since i came into the college and i got into such a mess. I admit that it was my fault of using curses, but I never meant to disrepect him, it was just blurted out in terror. So yeah, AITA? Edit: Currently I'm scared as hell because the professors here group together and corner a guy together using his cgpa as the weapon. My cgpa, especially for the first year is too important for me to lose, but I'm scared if that guy recognises me, I'll be getting slapped with a direct loss of about $5000 on fees and my future as added damage.
