I was in the discord server of one of my friends- goes by Jiri and I was a mod on this community server. The entire situation started once another one of the mods- Atlas and their girlfriend Mari decided to ban an active member; Avi. Avi and Atlas seemed to be close friends. Atlas sent screenshots of Avi venting to both of them- about life and struggling to find help. Atlas seemed like he was doing his best to comfort her- and clearly not even setting boundaries with Avi to stop her from venting to him. He said that Avi made his mental health so terrible that he was writing notes to everyone he knew. I am apart of a medically recognized OSDD system and we have about 20 headmates- and one of our gatekeepers was fronting, I’ll refer to them as N. we have had issues with them in the past since they- do not care about consequences. N and Mari seemed to have an argument about a specific rule and N got so offended and left the server. Atlas went out of his way to apologize but N didn’t take it- forcing another one of our members to apologize on behalf of them. It said something along the lines of; “N was frustrated, they needed to divert their anger to someone and I’m sorry it was you” I’m paraphrasing. When I rejoined, I read up the mod chat and found that Mari and someone I didn’t even know was involved- JZ attacking me for defending Avi when there was solid evidence she was doing that to Atlas and Mari. Now, this was just over a week ago- when I got out of my class I found that my WhatsApp was flooded with messages. I was added to a gc with these people on WhatsApp since most of them use it. Avi was still in that gc and it wasn’t active for weeks at that point. JZ and Atlas were attacking Avi- for fun it seemed and Atlas added someone else to the gc- Cha; someone also from discord that had no involvement but was aware what was happening was also grilling Avi- telling her to get professional help. Jiri was shocked, I was shocked. The stuff being said shouldn’t have been typed out and sent. On discord I warned the mods that we weren't going to talk shit about people here or outside of the server since that is how people got banned from a bigger server- and Atlas asked me why I got involved. I didn’t for the record- I was a bystander, just telling people to calm the fuck down. Atlas decided to block me after that. I left the server since I needed a break from this since I considered Atlas a really good friend of mine. I was then banned from the server. Using the message that I used to apologize for the last time as evidence and I was completely cut off from everyone. Atlas sent me a dm on TUMBLR calling me a manipulator and genuinely insane and I needed to seek help. Everyone has cut contact from me. I feel like a terrible person but I also don’t feel like apologizing since I think they overreacted for no reason. and I don’t know what to do anymore.
