My boyfriend of 8 months got a phone call from a "random" woman at midnight. He refused to answer the call, saying she's just a friend and he has no idea why she'd be calling. He says they've been friends for years and nothing sexual has ever happened between them. He's never once mentioned her name in 8 months. He said he last "spoke" to her by text yesterday. We're currently on a 5 day vacation together. I obviously had no idea he was texting her while we were together. I asked him to call her back and see what she needed on speaker phone. He refused to call her and opted to text her instead. She responded that she "just wanted to chat". AITA for assuming there is something more here? He's obviously telling me I'm overreacting and if the situation were reversed, and a man called me at midnight and I refused to answer the phone in front of him, he wouldn't be upset with me. So, AITA for insisting he call her back on speaker phone in front of me?
