I Male(16) live with my parents and siblings in a pretty small house struggling with funds. When summer started we only had 3 fans with 4 bedrooms, my parents used to have one but got rid of it, so I let them use mine for most of the summer, they promised they'd get me a new one before summer was over and that I can ask for mine back whenever. Now it's August and I still don't have a fan, I asked my parents if I could get it back and they got mad at me calling me selfish for taking the fan and leaving them without one, they gave it to me and bought themselves a new one within an hour. So they essentially let their son go without a fan for almost the whole summer, but when I took it back they got themselves one within an hour. When I confronted my mom about it she said they didn't have money to get me one and that they used savings for emergencies to get theirs, it still doesn't sound right to me that they didn't see me not having a fan for the whole summer as an emergency, but them not having one for about an hour was an emergency. Now it's about a week after that and I ordered myself a better fan coming today cuz this one's kinda old, loud and doesn't do much cooling. I used my own money that a family member had paid me for helping them and ordered it but when my parents found out they were furious, my mom woke me up with morning kicking in my door and shouting about how irresponsible I was for getting a fan when summers almost over, and how selfish I am for getting myself a good one when my siblings had their cheap ones. Am I in the wrong here?
