I’m (23) watching my two brothers (10 & 4) this weekend. The 10yo is obsessed with Roblox. He plays it nonstop all day and all night, the only way to stop him is to take the tablet away and I’m worried about how it’s affecting his mental health. A minute ago I told him he’d have to eat something at a specific time so he could shower and be ready for his bedtime, which he understood. But then he lost a match in the game and threw a full blown tantrum over it (which happens OFTEN) and suddenly he was refusing to do what I asked and taking aggression out on the 4yo (who is also problem, but that’s a whole other conversation). Plus I’m well aware of the current situation regarding Roblox and it’s utter lack of child safety. I’ve brought this up to our parents several times and they say they’ll take care of it but still have yet to do so. But as much as I know it’ll be good to remove this game from his life, I also know it’ll upset my brother. I remember being his age and hating when my parents made decisions like this for me and I’d hate to repeat the actions that hurt me.
