My dog was just diagnosed with heart worms. It appears this entire treatment drugs and all will be about $4-5k. I’m hesitant to spend this amount of money however. While I’m not broke and could afford this, I’m not super rich either. For some background he’s a 7 year old hound who is generally in good health. He’s a shelter dog we’ve had for five years. The kids do like him but understand the situation and said they understand if he doesn’t get get treatment. I feel this amount is a little higher than I’m comfortable spending but kinda feel like an ass here.
