I was feeding my kiddo.. we have a really pesky dog that kept trying to get into his food. Out of frustration, I told the dog to “get the fuck out of the way”. My mom told me to stop cussing because it made her uncomfortable and that she didn’t want to stay in the room. I apologized for making her feel that way. She then asked me how I would feel if she started cussing, and I answered honestly. I said that as long as it wasn’t directed at me, I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. After that, she responded as if I was dismissing her feelings and making it seem like they didn’t matter. What I don't get is she Somtimes cusses around me while we are in the same room not towards me but at random things or the dogs. Idk maybe I'm being an asshole.
