So me (21F) and my best friend (21F) have been planning a trip for OVER A YEAR. Every single day we were doing a countdown, making plans, hyping each other up. This trip was supposed to be our thing. A month ago she started dating this guy. Cool, good for her. I’ve been nothing but supportive. But ever since, all her energy is just… him. Now the trip is literally in one week. I texted her all excited like, “Are you hyped?? It’s almost here!!” and she straight up said, “Honestly, not really.” I was shocked. I joked back to her, like “Oh come on, if it’s because of that guy, vai a cagare” (basically “go to hell”), but it was obviously playful this is the kind of banter we’ve always had. My other friend even teased her too, saying “Oh, what we do for dick,” because again… that’s how we all joke with each other. They’ve made the same jokes about me when I’ve been a lovesick puppy over girls. But now she’s furious. She told me she doesn’t want to see me OR our other friend anymore because she feels like we’re mocking her. She’s not talking to me at all. I feel hurt and honestly betrayed we’ve been planning this trip for a year and she suddenly doesn’t even care because of a guy she’s been dating for a month?? And now I’m the bad guy for making the same kind of jokes we’ve always made? So… AITA for the way I joked, or is she being unfair?
