So for context: I’m a mom to a beautiful 2,5 yo daughter who is very loved by everyone in our family. I’m lucky enough to have lovely parents who help me out every Wednesday and take my daughter so I can get some work done. I’ve always known my parents aren’t exactly clean. But after moving out and having my own home, that I take extreme pride in and love maintaining, I’ve realized: they’re probably a bit more dirty then I realized as a kid. For example: cat and dog hair on the floors (bc the only time the house get cleaned is once a week,by their cleaning lady), cat urine in all corners of the house, dirty cat litter boxes and everywhere you look is just dust and stuff. I’ve always accepted that I’m a little more of a clean freak and was happy to be able to go home after a visit and be in my own clean space. But lately my daughter has been coming home with flea bites after spending time there. I’ve brought it up more then once and I’m met with a “oh no poor thing” and “we’ll look into it”. After weeks on end now and no action being taken on their side, I’m on the verge of telling her that she can’t have my daughter over anymore until she deals with the fleas. AITA here? Or is this totally reasonable?
