Hey so for context here I went out to eat with three of my friends and didn’t invite my other friend. Apparently they got upset because I didn’t invite them and made it very clear they didn’t want to talk to me and was being awfully…rude. Additional context: I didn’t invite this friend because they were working. Yes, they were working and couldn’t make it, regardless. Now, I feel terrible for not inviting them anyway. They feel like they’re being replaced and excluded. I’ve already sent them an apology after I post this. Maybe they were upset because I didn’t invite them? I don’t know. I haven’t had friends in a long time and I don’t know what to do or how to handle this. Am I the asshole?
