My coworkers invited me to a happy hour after we finished dinner. I already spent about $60 on my meal and already planning to head home, so I politely declined the invitation. For me it was reasonable because i have already participated in the group event and didn’t want to overspend. I turned them down, For some reason, my coworkers don't seem fine with it and they told me to just go home, and left me. It made me feel out of place and slightly pressured. I tried to laugh it off, but it was uncomfortable. It’s unreasonable to expect me to spend more money when I already joined my coworkers for dinner. I enjoy hanging out with my coworkers, at the same time I also have a budget and other responsibilities. Starting to feel my coworkers is not respecting that boundary. I don’t think I’m wrong for drawing a line here AITA for not going happy hour with my coworkers?
