This happened in my high school junior year. My younger sibling and a classmate of mine are not on good terms with each other. One day, my classmate finds his charger is missing and I so happen to find it in my brothers bag. I return it to him and apologise for my sibling's behaviour, But he demands I reimburse him because he bought a new charger within the 2 days between him losing it and me returning it. I'm now a high school senior and the guy is still bringing it up everyday and it's getting annoying. Why should I be the one to pay for something my younger sibling did when I am not his legal guardian? (for obvious reasons). I didn't take the charger and this guy insists I pay him back because "I am an older sibling". Why is he coming to me when I didn't do anything?
