I’ve always had a rough relationship with my dad classic daddy issues. He’s a narcissist who thinks he’s above everyone. Every summer my family goes to our summer house. He never comes, but still forces me to go even though I begged not to. He even said he’d “drag me into the car” if needed. While we were there, he’d call me almost every night, but later I found out it was just to check if I was awake and then complain to my mom. So she asked me not to answer at night. One time, because of bad internet, I missed his call even though my phone was in my hands. He exploded, called me a “bitch,” accused me of blocking him, and made my mom check my phone. She ended up believing him, and we argued for a long time. Since August 7, he hasn’t spoken to me at all only to my mom. My mom and grandma say I should text him first, but I don’t want to. So, AITA?
