So we have been dating for 1+ year and I really look forward to having a future with her but recently she asked a question to me. She said will you buy a house for me and put it under my name only? I am currently still in university and I told her that I would like our first house to be put under both our names but I would pay for it all and she won't have to work soon which is true because I have found a high paying job recently in my degree and started a business online that has been doing good. She got angry and sad when I said that. She told me it would make her feel safe since she is in a foreign country and stayed with me here in my home country and that buying a house for her and only putting her name would make her feel safe. I still said no, I'll pay off the house out of my pocket entirely but why can't it just be shared? Then she got even more angry and sad and said I changed because I used to care about her feelings and that now I'm neglecting the fact that she won't feel safe if I put both our names on the house and that when it comes to expensive things, I hesitate to buy for her, and that this is not the love she wants and that its for her safety because in the future she said I might cheat because from her family side, she heard a lot of stories of married men cheating when they grow older and she just has trust issues with men. She also said this is how she wants it to be because her mom owns all the property under her name only which her dad bought. I'm just so confused right now and don't know what to do or say because this sounds ridiculous and I would like to hear some of your opinions. Just been feeling so down lately, It's like one day we would be good but then the next we would be arguing about some stupid stuff like this, feels like she expected my love to be like some fairytale knight who would give up everything to her and buy her anything she wants and do anything she wants. \*\*EDIT I am starting to wonder, can you ever really trust anyone in the world with such a huge ask except your own family?
