For a little background, I’m going into a sixth form soon and have been buying clothes for it and my dad went out shopping today and bought a rlly nice shirt for me (relatively expensive in my eyes as-well) however it was a brown long sleeve shirt that he had bought for me to wear to sixth form , I ultimately ended up saying how i love the thought and the gesture of it however i would not wear it as i don’t like a brown shirt and i believe that wearing ‘dark’ shirts with a suit doesn’t look the greatest (with exceptions being probably navy) and he became ‘agitated’ understandably as he had done a really nice thing and i had just ‘rejected’ it in his eyes so I’m just wondering , am i the asshole for not just taking the shirt?
