For context. I have a older brother with which I live together and we also have a 11 year old Chihuahua. Normally, she sleeps with him in the evening. So yesterday my brother wanted me to take our dog with me to bed because he did not get a lot of sleep the last few days because of her always waking him up. Even though I have been having sleep issues for the last few weeks, I still said yes (because I am an idiot...). I have a blackout window so it's pitch black in my room so I don't wake up from the sunlight in the morning (my brother does not have curtains yet so he just has moon/sunlight in his room all the time). So around 3AM, I hear a thud and some small footsteps on my wooden floor and I jump up. She fell from my boxspring bed right on my laminated floor and she was shivering a bit. I picked her up and checked her and she whimpered a bit when I touched one of her back legs. I was a bit distraught so I woke up my brother to ask for help. He woke up and we checked her but did not find anything so we both went back to bed (she stayed with me the rest of the night). In the morning I gave her some pain killer to hopefully help. She could walk fine but still had a bit of pain. My brother called and asked if everything was okay. I said yes but then he said what made me make this post. He told me to not wake him up again next time unless it is something really bad, since he could not really "help" out last night... AITA for waking him up when I was concerned?
